Garden Furniture

Today there has been moderately heavy rain since early this morning, continuing all day. In consequence any of the scheduled building work was out of the question, so much of the equipment including this JCB is temporarily garden furniture. However, we had enquired earlier if, while the equipment was here, if would be possible to dig out some of the silt from our garden pond. Over the years the pond has reduced from some two metres deep in the middle, with sharply defined banks, to some 450 millimetres in the middle with very gently sloping sides, due to the soil being washed from the garden into the pond. Since the equipment was there and could be put to no other use at the present time it was decided that this was a very good day to start this exercise. Mrs GOG’s blip today shows this in progress.
