Loot!

The song thrush from yesterday was living dangerously today, stealing the rare, ripe blue-black berries from the Viburnum bush. The blackbird family regard this bush as their exclusive property and they aggressively defend it, but they were off somewhere else.

While the thrush avoids the blackbirds it doesn’t seem to mind me at all. Today it even hopped towards me for a closer look. So long as I move slowly and keep the distance it requires it feels safe enough to turn its back on me.
