Democracy in Action

Last Friday the meeting was on Gigha. Monday was in Oban and on Sunday it will be on Tiree.

But tonight the venue was the tiny village of Ford in Mid Argyll

In their community hall (which tomorrow night will hold a ceilidh) around 20 people - a few determined YES voters, a few confirmed NOs and some in the middle - asked their local MSP questions about almost every aspect of independence and the referendum for almost two hours.

This is just one of the thousands of such meetings - large and small - that are taking place and will take place the length and breadth of Scotland in the run up to September 18th.

Democracy in action.

A country debating - and deciding on - its future.
