War of the Thistles 2014 Day 1...

This weekend is the our yearly big comp weekend, War of the the Thistles. It's not so much a competition rather than a skateboarding gathering fuelled by some generous sponsors.

First day of the weekend is up to Transition Extreme in Aberdeen which although is a fair distance to travel but it's always fun when we get there.

Overall it more or less follows the same format where we have a number of sessions on different aspects of the park and people earn money from the prize pot. We did however do a new event to the day, a death race. A more inclusive event that more people can join in with and win some money. It worked out really well sending four skaters at time round our set up cones.

This is Div doing a massive tail grab in the bowl finale. He was skating brilliantly all day with a brilliantly just on the edge style. Div walked away with the first half of the War of the Thistles Trophy.
