Kempt and 'Animal' ...

...I was reminded of the Muppet song 'Ma Na Ma Na' recently (which always tickled me) when googling it for a seven year old (gratifyingly it seemed to tickle him too. And they say there's a generation gap!).

Also, choosing a title, lead me to ruminate on the idiosyncracies of the English language (always fun!).
It's a challenge to remember words whose positive forms are now fairly rare, like 'kempt', 'couth' and 'gruntled'. (There are many more).
I sometimes use them.

(Which does not appear to help in smallening the above generation gap).
