Chateau de Courances

Sunday
We passed the beautiful Chateau de Courances while we were out cycling this afternoon. We did the same route we did back on March 9, though we started in a slightly different place, passing through the villages of Arbonne-la-Forêt, Courances, Dannemois, Cely-en-Bière and Fleury-en-Bière. The Chateau was built originally in the 1600s in a Louis XIII style, and is particularly known for its beautiful gardens. It is only open on weekends from Spring through Fall. We visited it with my Mum and Dad many years ago when we were living here before, but we haven't yet been back this time around - it's definitely on my list of things to do!
