Bonfire

During the week, in order to be able to dig the foundations, our builders took down the grape vine and the Virginia creeper, before demonising the verandah. They managed to dig up the root ball of the Virginia creeper without destroying the plant, although it was cut back very heavily, however, they pretty much destroyed our grapevine. As a result of this, there was a great deal of vine and creeper to burn, so we had a substantial bonfire, adding to this a few bits of timber, which they had not taken away. Today’s blip is of this bonfire, after most of the foliage had burned.
