"I'm Here!" He Says To Anyone Who Will Listen

"and there's nothing you  can do to stop me from drinking from this feeder."

So says this Gila woodpecker, with his loud, laughing, "Gee, Gee, Gee, Gee!"

When he first came by last Fall, I named him Pope Francis because of his red cap.  Then it was pointed out to me that Popes wear white caps and Cardinals wear red caps.  Well, I couldn't change his name to Cardinal Francis.  That would be too confusing.

So Pope Francis announces his arrival every time he lands, as if to bait the original tenant of the hummingbird feeder by saying, "I'm here and there ain't nothing you can do about it!"
