A view from Jeanneb

By Jeanneb53

Back down to earth.

Started our first day back from lovely holidays with an early morning walk with the usual lovely ladies. (Well one is still sunning herself in Florida)

We set of from Station Road in Harecroft to do,the ' Viaduct Views' walk which takes you in front of, under and around Hewenden viaduct. Everywhere except over it!

As I have taken several views of it in good weather, from different places, this spring I decided against another and although we did very little woodland walking I was surprised to see how many bluebells there were on the edge of the meadows.

I expected to see more in Scotland but the primroses were more profuse in the Highlands. Here the bluebells were already showing in lots of places before we left but today I think they really looked to be in their season.

Lovely, ethereal blue. Perfect for a surprisingly sunny ' May Day'.

Thank you to all who kindly commented on our Scottish Highland shots over the last week. i have tried to catch up with comments where I could.
Some of you expressed a desire to see more of the lovely corner of the NW Highlands where we stay so here is a link.
