Up in smoke

Any plans for a fun filled bank holiday went up in smoke, as the day has been spent on the settee nursing a cold and feeling thoroughly miserable. My ribs ache from coughing and I'm trying not to touch anything, so that I don't infect everyone else.

Mr E was kind enough to nip to the shop to buy cold remedies, so I'm hoping for a good nights sleep.

It wasn't all bad lying on the settee, as I saw my first swallow of the year. It also gave me time to re read yesterday's blip and realised that although I called it The Wandering Falcon, I didn't explain why. I recently discovered that the word 'peregrine' means 'wandering'. Just goes to show that you're never too old to learn new things!
