Our five mile world

Home sweet home

Minus 13 degrees, power lines down with the weight of the heavy snow, and sunshine breaking through the clouds transforming the landscape.

Sprinkles of glittery fairy dust on every branch and tree.

We are blessed that we can come home to a warm wood burning stove and cupboards full of food. The deer tracks and scrapings indicate that they are having a hard time trying to dig through 50cms of snow to find the remainder of the potaoes buried in the frozen fields after harvest.
