Big little girl

She is so tall it is easy to forget how old she is. She is so articulate, beautifully generous and kind, it is easy to forget how old she is. She is so poised when getting ready for ballet, it is easy to forget how old she is.

But today she is very tired after the weekend. The smallest thing seemed so enormous that sobbing was the only way to deal with it. When Polly is the only thing that will stem the tears, I remember that although some people think she looks at least nine years old, she is still only six. I love my beautiful big little girl.
