Learning day by day

Off he goes!

After yesterday morning's start we decided to split up the children this morning. W came shopping with me (for a sunhat and some shorts) C helped Daddy get the bikes ready. We came back with a bit more than we went for, but not a plain white t-shirt in W's size for ballet. How hard can it be to find one?

Anyway we headed out on to the college field to try W on his bike without his stabilizers as he is so good on his balance bike and has had a little time to get used to the pedals on this bike. I wasn't sure it was going to be a success at first, but lo and behold off he went. He was rightly pleased with himself. Now he just has to master the setting off on his own.

After lunch we all headed out to cycle the Greenway. W was on the back of my new bike and C was cycling independently with the trailgator on Jim's bike as back up. Fair play to Carys she cycled over three miles on a very heavy bike, which is almost too small for her before asking to go on the trailgator. Even then Jim said she still pedalled a fair bit of the final 10miles or so.

Two tired and slightly sunkissed (despite suncream) children fast asleep in bed. Parents won't be too far behind either. What a nice, sunny bank holiday.
