Spring

turns us into soppy things.
We sigh at blossom,
fluffy goslings and unfurling ferns,
fledglings, dandelions and floating seeds,
those bluebells in the dappled wood,
this fairy ring of cowslips.
A brief and pleasant ailment.

An uncharacteristic bunch of cowslips for Richard Donkin and his cute and fluffy goslings.
