Restoring Bowbridge Lock

... on the Cotswold canal, which is eventually going to link up the rivers Thames and Severn. Going to be a long time coming!

I walked home along the towpath. I got very hot, but on reaching home and having had lunch, I decided the time was right to disconnect and remove the defunct washing machine. CleanSteve did most of the heavy work, and I'm glad we moved it, for an hour later, two scrap metal collectors knocked at the door and asked if they could have it.

Then it was time to rustle up a melange of roasted new potatoes, halloumi and asparagus, before I had to rush off to an evening job. It was still light when I left the centre at 9.10 pm. Here comes the summer!
