The Swale in sunshine

Had hoped to get both Tuesday and Wednesday off after the bank holiday, but some stuff unfolded over the weekend which meant that wasn't possible. So had to work til 2 but then managed to get away and so was still able to get up to the Dales as planned for Tuesday night and Wednesday. The drive up was fabulous and this was taken at about 5.30 before settling into a a fab little pub with rooms in Keld. Everyone else in the pub was either walking The Coast to Coast or The Pennine Way....and I was one of only 2 English people there! We had a lovely chatty relaxed time with pub meals and Black Sheep ale! There were 4 women from Melbourne Australia, a married couple from Ontario, a bloke from Arizona who was just aghast at how wet everything was !...and a bloke from Battersea who was just aghast at the fact there was no phone or internet signal in the whole village. Good time had by all.
And this was me just playing with a polariser and some filters for the first time...think I've got the bug thanks to you lot..and as usual getting my tootsies a little wet! Beautiful spot.
