Henningsvær

Continuing my exploration (and in some cases re-exploration) of the villages near Svolvaer - today to Henningsvær, where the weather continued to co-operate spectacularly.

Any place on the coast that has a huge snow-covered mountain just behind it already has a head start in the scenery stakes. Henningsvær is just charming in every way.

It's spread over a group of little islands linked by bridges, it's got a busy harbour and a fishing industry, it's filled with picturesque little houses (most probably at one time working cottages, but many now for holiday rentals), there are lots of galleries and the folks there were very welcoming too.

I could happily have spent much more time there, but it is now time to move on. I'm expecting the next blip to come from much further south in the Lofoten Islands.
