Cornwall Day One

For some reason or other, the Cairo/Heathrow flight took five hours instead of four and I only just made it onto the Penzance train with about eight-and-a-half minutes to spare. Despite the train being horribly crowded and going backwards, the snow covered landscape was lovely (and something I've not seen in ages).

Fish and chips and a DVD in front of the Christmas tree was the evening's itinerary and it all felt very Christmassy.

Brushing my teeth, I was reminded (pleasantly so) how nice it is to be able to drink the freezing cold tap water. Tap water in Egypt is full of chlorine and will have you sitting on the lavvy for a week if you're not careful.
