Salt Pan Alley

In Noirmoutier they harvest sea salt in the time honoured traditional manner. It's a long time consuming process and the amount that one man can harvest in a season is not enough to sustain a lifestyle, hence why the skill of sea salt farming is dying out in the region. The piles of salt were drying in the air, waiting to be added to further when time permitted.
