A Butternut Breakfast

Had the day off so Ian and I headed to Exeter on the hunt for his birthday present. We started with breakfast in Butternut, elevenses in John Lewis and then lunch in the Merry Harriers on the way home - had a totally delicious Ham Ploughman's.

True to gadget man form Ian ended up choosing a (Nina cover your ears!) Kindle and is rather pleased with his new toy.

Leo was awarded a special gold leaf in Assembly for Determination - apparently he spent ages trying to conquer the monkey bars and wouldn't give up until he'd finally made it across :)

Am busy weather watching as we have a weather warning out for heavy wind and rain tomorrow and I desperately want them to be wrong so that my walk doesn't get called off. Hopefully, they will let us do it and get drenched unless it is too dangerous to risk it.
