Ploughmans Championship

Beautiful Marlborough day today and the Mistress and I headed up to the Ploughmans championships in Blenheim.

Beautiful Clydesdales, these ones from the Erewhon High Country station, we learnt the finer points of ploughing while taking photos and talking to the experts. We also learnt that the NZ clydesdales are smaller than the ones in europe, as they were specifically brought over to help clear forests and they couldn't be too big as they needed to fit between the trees up on the hills!

The mistress now wants to visit Erewhon Station.
