Keep Sending Me Black Fireworks.

Of Montreal.

My family went to our summer house in Wisconsin this past weekend to celebrate a belated Fourth of July; the town holds its fireworks [directly across the lake from us!!] for the weekend because there are a lot of weekenders. In addition to the typical stuff we did at the cottage, we drove out to Green Lake, one of the fancier areas in the state. We visited a resort with intentions to board a yatch for an hour-long tour around the lake. That didn't happen. There were three weddings at the resort, and one of the wedding parties rented out the boat tour that we were supposed to take.

Therefore, things became amazing. My dad has been thinking about buying a jetski for awhile and he decided to rent a waverunner at the resort for an hour to check it out. It was probably the most expensive hour of my life, haha. We took turns driving it around the lake. At first it was just the two of us, but we later realized it was much easier to drive solo, especially at high speeds. I LOVED it. I drove around at about fifty miles per hour on the lake, amongst the large waves (because of the heavy wind) which caused the waverunner to bounce in and out of the water with force against the waves (and I was soaked).... and it was the best. Wind and water were in my face constantly and I didn't care, it. was. awesome.

These ducks were in the area where the waverunners were rented. When the waverunners approached/departed, the ducks swam out of the way quickly, but the rest of the time, they just floated together like a family. It was adorable.

We did return the next day to take the tour.
