Gloster Aircraft Company Unibus

The first scooter ever, developed, designed and built by Gloster Aircraft Company (GAC) in Gloucester.
You can see where the design for Vespa and the rest came from.
This Unibus is 94 years old.

GAC diversified it's products after the first world war when there was a bit of a lull in the aircraft industry.

Cost of this innovative mode of travel - 95 guineas, the equivalent of £25,000 nowadays!
Without a doubt the cost was the reason for lack of sales and less than 100 were produced.
There's this one in the UK, now on loan to the Jet Age Museum, and two in Italian museums.
