The Round of Gras

The Round of Gras was our local when we lived in the Vale of Evesham. It's been well known for many years as one of the pubs in that area who specialise in asparagus dishes.

There is now a British Asparagus Festival in the Vale, and it runs from St George's Day on 23rd April (also Shakespeare's birthday and deathday) until 21st June. They have cookery demonstrations, a silver band, Morris dancers, and even an "asparabus" to take visitors on a tour around the local asparagus growers.

This asparagus on my blip won't be around until 21st June - or even 11th May. It's part of our dinner this evening.

Thank you to everyone for helping to get my second spotlight yesterday. I'm so chuffed!
