Meet the Author

Linton Book Festival really got underway today with a full day of activities at the Village College. H was playing in her flute group with at least one other blipper. They were very good.

We had a look at some of the other things and then Poppy asked if she could buy a book. We went along to the bookshop but nothing grabbed her eye. We were standing next to a set of really interesting books by an author called Kate Maryon. I asked Pop which one she wanted. She answered very loudly that she did not want any of them as they looked boring.
At this point the lady standing next to us said.
'Really? oh dear I wrote those' It was Kate Maryon the author. Needless to say Poppy was embarrassed and I burst into laughter. Kate the author then explained what the books were about and Poppy chose one which Kate then signed.

We left soon afterwards ending up in the pub and then back to Sarah and Darren's. Home now for a spot of Eurovision.

Tomorrow promises a lot more of the same.
