This little fellow got himself caught in the bird ringing demonstration.

Another lovely day at the Birdfair. I volunteered for a stint parking cars but spent the rest of the day looking round. We went to a talk on Short Eared Owls which was very interesting. Apparently they are mostly nocturnal which I didn't realise. They go against the owl wisdom of yellow eyed owls being day owl and orange eyed owl being night ones.

Then we went to talk by Laurie Campbell who is a man who climbs up mountains with a deer on his back so he can photograph eagles. That is when he is not living in a tiny hide for days at a time. Amazing. I may as well just give up now quite frankly.
