Ominous

What a corker of a day weatherise - we have had just about all seasons in one day. Started off mild and fine this morning then this afternoon it darkened thunderously. It also got bloody cold! So the down jacket was pressed into use as I headed out to Hauroko Valley.
This evening it is freezing although toasty warm with the heat pump going hell for leather.

The local lore is that if the mountains are in sharp relief then rain and bad weather is on it's way. After the rainfall today one can see them in very sharp relief! Bad weather indeed!
