There is a season, turn, turn, turn."

The season in the UK for the common tern is from April to September. They are delicate, if noisy, birds known as sea swallows. I went to Fishers Green in the Lee Valley today hoping to photograph one, having seen the feature on The Lee Valley in Countryfile last night. I haven't been there for a while as I have been recovering from a virus.

My pic shows, out of focus, in the foreground my gorgeous Indian runner duck and it its 'slutty duck' mate. They are inseparable. <3
