Donner and Blitzen

Not those Reindeer, but thunder and lightning. It was absolutely beautiful this morning in Edinburgh, but my mid-afternoon the clouds arrived and between 4 and 5 there was thunder and lightning followed by a sharp shower. I had to go to George Square and got there dry, but as I left it hosed down again. Being a wimp, I stayed in the shelter of the George Square lecture theatre, and watched as the sun came out and this terrific double rainbow formed. The lower one is itself double with the colours inverted. It's finished off with the reflection on the slabs of the church and rainbow. A great sight.
