New Year At The Lake

Happy New Year Everyone!

Had great ideas about getting up early this morning and taking some shots down at Ullswater. However, not much time had been had in bed after our DVDs last night went on well into this morning.

Of the DVDs I liked Moulin Rouge the best followed by Star Trek (a prequel to the TV series)

So, as they say with photography, timing is everything and as we finished our bacon butties and bundled into the car the sun was shining beautifully on the snowy mountains. It was a different story by the time we got to the lake. The remaining sun was soon hidden by clouds and the snow began falling, making most shots monochrome. An hour sooner would have been better!

Still a nice trip out and a refreshing start to the year!
