Tour of Gourock..

Sir Bradley Wiggins - one of my sporting heroes - is back on top, leading the Tour of California. He's a time trialling specialist. I watched the local club, Inverclyde Velo, time trialling their way through Gourock and Inverkip this evening.

Road racing and time trialling specifically, is a very interesting discipline. I've been told that time triallists might be racing against each other and the clock, but when broken down to fundamentals, it's really the cyclist against himself. And his own head. And heart.

And my husband, himself a time trialling specialist, got a personal best this evening. He's just like Sir Bradley. I wish......
