Apple Blossom

A beautiful still mild morning when I had an opportunity to head out to the garden and plant my speciality purple potatoes in the new raised bed I've had built. The apple blossom is at its peak now and it looks to be a great crop again of Discovery apples in 4 months time. It was one of my best 'discoveries' about 8 years ago, despite our rather wet clay soil. The main picture shows two clumps of blossom at different stages of development.
