wavelets in the sky

In the beginning there was a river. The river became a road and the road branched out to the whole world. And because the road was once a river it was always hungry. - Ben Okri The Famished Road

Up and out early this morning. I work at a school in Govan and I love to treat myself to a walk along the waterfront. It was so peaceful and serene. The whispering river, the curves and straight lines, the wavelets of thought.

This is the reflection of the the scene mirrored in the waters of the Clyde. I love this trick of upending the photo so the sky is actually the river. There's something poetic about it. It gives a shimmer to the observed reality and hints at possible other worlds just a ripple and splash away. We only have our eyes to see. They can only receive and decode so much. How much can't we perceive? What lies beyond the wavelengths of our vision?
