Happy cows

The cows and calves are really enjoying this warmer weather. This is just a quickie as we are busy packing for an early start tomorrow.

T and B are busy trying to set everything up for silage making and assembling a team to drive the forager, trailers, and tractor in the pit. It is supposed to be wet from Sunday onwards so I don't know how far they will get. There are many other jobs to be done in this window of fine weather and inevitably machinery breaks down just when one is anxious to proceed. N feels he shouldn't be going away but there are helpful people about who will be called in if necessary.

Heard the cuckoo for the first time this year!
