St Johnstone Grouse

We've been passing this immense bird sculpture for a couple of years now. It's situated on the island in the middle of the Broxden roundabout/junction at the entrance of Perth. To be honest I've thought it was a pheasant, but it turns out this is another famous grouse ! If you're interested there's more on the why, where and how of the sculpture to be found here.

Now tomorrow is the Scottish Cup Final and it is a Tayside Final, St Johnstone against Dundee United . And someone decided that the giant grouse needed to sport the St Johnstone colours :-) Go St Johnstone, go, we'll listen to the final in the car on the way to the ferry. Yes, our stay in Scotland is almost at an end :-( Commenting may be difficult tonight and tomorrow, as tonight I'm packing and tomorrow we'll be checking out and driving down to the ferry at Newcastle. Fingers crossed this ferry tomorrow will have more internet access than the one 3 weeks ago.
