'Mama's Kitchen & Papa's Bar

Out at Lot 19 Arts Hub in Castlemaine, Central Victoria.

A busy, busy day for us today, starting with a Blip meet with Nevermore, Paladian & The Rower out at Montsalvat for morning tea. It's always a real pleasure to meet more of our friendly blip community in person and be able to match a personality behind the wonderful shots that we all share. Nevermore is responsible for introducing MsMun and myself to blip almost 2 years ago now, and I've been subscribed to Paladian & Rowers journals for probably more than a year also. It was a fun morning unfortunately we had to head off early to get up to the kids school to help out with the working bee.

After the hour or so working in the gardens up at the school we headed out of town to Castlemaine to attend a book launch for a graphic novel titled 'Floating Horizon'. It's an illustrated 10m long single folded image by architect Chris Guest. The project was crowd funded on the Pozzible website and MsMun helped out by purchasing 3 of the books. I love the book concept that everything in this world is interconnected and continuous.

After wandering around the grounds of this arts precinct for an hour or so we headed in to the town for a play in the park with the kids before the sun set and met up with another lovely family with 2 young girls out for a night too.

MsMun had booked us a table at Bella Fresca Pizza restaurant at 6pm where we had a nice wood fired White Mountain pizza and a rocket salad before heading home with 2 very tired kids in the car. Bella went out like a light after a few minutes on the road, while The Boy Magician was struggling with a blocked nose, he eventually fell asleep half way home.

All up a really great day.

Late now and time for bed.
