Support teams

An early start on a beautiful day to drive over to Nottingham. A bit of a shop; the successful exchange of a birthday present for the right size this time and marvelling at the mess they have made of the Victoria Centre - presumably before it is refurbished, not that there were any signs to indicate it. One of the highlights was a man called Brian playing 'These are a few of my favourite things' on a piano in the middle of the Saturday shoppers - and very good he was too. Presumably they have decided that putting a piano in the middle of their chaos will improve the general atmosphere.

A trip to collect the cox from a day of rowing at Holme Pierpoint, hence today's blip. It was a great place for people watching with my general observation being that the ones in Lycra generally have a support team of parents who spend copious amounts of time turning boats around and putting them on stands. A lovely meal tonight and a full day of sunshine and 24 degrees. All in all a good antidote to a manic week.
