CACTUS FLOWER

Who would have thought that something as potentially painful as a cactus would produce such a beautiful, delicate flower? Not me!

On my walk today, I passed by this large grouping of cacti, beside the walkway. I had noticed some nodules growing on top of them last week when I passed, but today...there were several vibrant, yellow flowers. Unless I miss my guess, each of those nodules will eventually bloom into identical flowers like this one.

You just have to love Springtime. Nature bursts forth with some of the most beautiful flowers and colors from some of the most unlikely of places!!
