Blip bug

Found this tiny bright green chap (about a centimetre long) racing around my garden table - in short, fast bursts - early this morning. Tried to identify him on an NZ bug identification site but failed.

Hmmm...could be a type of juvenile grasshopper? Any blip entomologists out there?
