Mailbox

In the UK - our previous home - it's the norm to have mail delivered through a letter box built into the home's main door. An external mailbox (a sure sign of a warmer climate, and a more trusting community?) is something I've always wanted. Here in NZ mailboxes appear to be the norm.

However, in common with the UK, families are blighted with 'junk mail'. Many kiwi families deal with this by including a sign on the mailbox stating "NO CIRCULARS". This simple and clear injunction appears not to be adhered to by many posters of mail leading to irritation, frustration and the more extreme approach adopted by the owner of the mailbox above!

This is a person who know what s\he doesn't want in their mailbox: post junk at your peril ;-)
