Bluebell or Daisy

Today marked the end of our visit to the Alps, so we are now back at Lake Como. It was nice to see the lake again even though the mountains were really spectacular.

One of the features of the Agrotourismo where we were staying is the breakfast room which has a window looking into the barn. The window is closed obviously, but it enables the people having breakfast observe the cows who are also having breakfast at the same time. They in turn can see through the window also, though they are rather more interested in their own breakfast.

According to the sign on the barn door the herd won several prizes last year, and it names the various prize winners. We thought this should be a Bluebell or a Daisy, though no doubt her true name is something totally different.

After they have breakfasted the cows wander over to the neighbouring field where they spend the day until evening when they return inside. We were amused to notice the field where they spend the day was not gated, so they could wander out and return to the barn if they so chose, but they seem quite content to stay where they are.
