Degree show

Up to the ECA degree show tonight. I caught up with Heather and her son Jamie beforehand. They were heading up as her daughter Clair was graduating with a BA Hons in Illustration. I loved her work, it was great.

After seeing the Illustration stuff I got a good look round some of the other stuff in the new building then up to the old building for a look round there too. It as good but it all got a bit hazy due, in large part, to free beer.

Talking about Art Schools though the news today about the Mack Building at GSA catching fire was pretty devastating. Thankfully it looks like the building and around 70% of the contents will be saveable.

Scotland doesn't have many global cultural icons, but that building is most certainly one.
