The Honey Bees - Some Of Your Lovin' (1965)
This song has always been one of my favourites by Dusty Springfield, but until this week I had thought Carole King and Gerry Goffin had given her the song directly, as I did know the demo by Carole King. It turns out the original from months earlier was this beautiful rendition by the Honey Bees, who were in fact Barbara Alston from the Crystals singing lead backed up by the Cookies.
