Bull ring at Alcuacin

The next day G, N and I drove down the rough track to the little town of Alcuacin, named after the Arabic word meaning "arches", to the small Saturday market where we bought fruit, vegetables and bread.   G filled up large water bottles from the water spurt in the market place. The tap water is warm in the house and this water comes straight out of the mountains and is very cool and good to refrigerate.  The buildings in the town are white and there are many steep little roads and alley ways.  A  couple of thousand people live here probably all working in the agricultural industry.
