The Free Gift

We went to the garden centre this morning and one of our acquisitions was this pretty shrub, which we were persuaded to buy because the bees obviously loved it so much ( it was covered in them). We put it in our trolley and headed for the check out only to be followed by this persistent bee who didn't want to leave his shrub. We spent ages trying to persuade him to attend a different flower but to no avail and we didn't really want to take him inside the garden centre building in case he couldn't get out again. After nearly 15 minutes of trying to coax him off we gave up and took him though the check out, into the car park and home with us in car - he remained happily in his shrub, buzzing from flower to flower the whole time ( something which I was really pleased about as he was inside the car with us). We unpacked the car at home and placed the shrub in the back garden where I took this shot of him still happily buzzing amongst the flowers where he stayed for quite a while afterwards. He did eventually leave the plant but whether he found his way home again I'm not really sure - maybe he found a new home near the garden and he will be back again tomorrow :-))
As it was such a lovely day we spent the rest of it doing the gardening and planting up some hanging baskets, what with that and my ongoing computer problem it's taken me ages to get this blip posted but better late than never, I suppose :-))
