Back From the Dead

Last year I planted bedding plants in the spring and they provided plenty of colour on my balcony until I travelled for a month in July. Unsurprisingly I returned to discover dead, dry, brown boxes, which I weeded, leaving the planters on the balcony for use the following year.

As I travelled in the spring I never got around to planting anything, knowing that I will be away in July again. I thought I would leave them empty until the kinder autumn weather and perhaps plant some succulents instead. Imagine my surprise to see this little lot thriving after plenty of sunshine and rain! Marvellous
