If you were borne in the Maternity Hospital in Oban, this would have been your first view of the world. Not bad eh? And how would it distort your perception of everywhere else from then on?!

The old maternity hospital is now a B&B. And a very good one too. This is what you might see towards sunset on a fine afternoon. And the cathedral on the right is by Gilbert Scott, who also designed the Anglican cathedral in Liverpool. There is a striking likeness.

The fish restaurants are excellent. There is a chocolate factory and a whisky distillery. What more do you need?
