Eye on the ball?

We certainly didn't keep our eye on the ball today and we got soaked to the skin because of it.

Mr E had the great idea of going for a picnic in the highest, most exposed area of Oxfordshire. We didn't take waterproof trousers or even wellies and consequently when those big black clouds rolled it, we got drenched. I tried rolling my trousers up but the turn-ups soon became pools of water, which in turn filled my waterproof shoes.
I need a hot toddy to warm up :-)

The dogs didn't seem to mind getting soaked, even though they won't normally go outside for the loo if they detect one spot of rain when I open the back door!
