MONO-PODS

The theme for the day was "Monochromatic" which would suggest a B&W shot, I guess. However, I decided to make it color - just ONE color- so still monochrome. These cactus pods are green, beige and purple in real life, but I didn't think they were all that striking in full color. Reworked into a high contrast monochrome though, I think they came out just fine. It's lucky for me as well, since the only other decent shot I had for the day was a group of yellow cactus flowers, and I just posted one of those a few days ago!! :-)
