Posties......

.....I'm waiting in for another delivery today so I was a bit stuck for a blip, but then I remembered a family photo I borrowed from my Ma a while ago that has a postal connection. Those 2 ladies up there are Hannah and Annie Burns (cousins of my great granddad, I'm not sure what relation that makes them to me, probably something much 'removed';-)) when Hannah was postmistress at Hethersgill in Cumberland and Annie was a letter deliverer (this is them on the 1911 census).....y'know I'm rather impressed by those mammoth flat caps they're wearing, wonder whether they were post office issue.......
